Head of ERTM (Electronic Route to Market)
About the Role
Our client is building the Electronic Route to Market (ERTM), a platform that enables retailers to digitize their operations, sell online, and procure directly from brands through a unified one app.
We are looking for a business leader to own and scale this vertical end-to-end. This role combines P&L ownership, ecosystem building, and platform growth, working closely with the CEO/founder to drive Our client’s next phase of expansion.
What You’ll Own
You will operate as the business head for ERTM, responsible for turning it into a high-growth, multi-revenue platform connecting retailers, brands, and ecosystem partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Ownership & Revenue Growth
● Own the P&L for the ERTM platform
● Build and scale multiple revenue streams, including:
○ Retailer transactions & commissions
○ Brand partnerships & onboarding
○ SaaS / platform monetization
○ Value-added services (credit, advertisements etc.)
● Drive exponential growth in GMV, active retailers, and brand participation
2. Platform & Ecosystem Building
● Scale the ERTM platform into a multi-sided marketplace
● Drive adoption among:
○ Retailers (ordering, selling online, credit distribution)
○ Brands (distribution, visibility, direct reach)
● Leverage ecosystem integrations including:
○ Our client Multi Brand ecosystem
○ ONDC
3. Stakeholder Management
● Own relationships with:
○ Enterprise brands and strategic partners
○ External ecosystem players including closely working with Govt. of India / ONDC
● Align cross-functionally with internal teams:
○ Product (roadmap & features)
○ Engineering (platform scalability)
○ Sales (on-ground adoption & GTM)
● Act as the single-threaded owner ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
4. Strategy & Founder Collaboration
● Work closely with the CEO/founder on:
○ Long-term platform strategy
○ Market expansion (geographies, categories)
○ Strategic partnerships and alliances
● Translate vision into clear execution plans and growth levers
5. Team Leadership
● Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team
● Drive a culture of:
○ Ownership
○ Speed
○ Data-driven execution
6. Execution & Scale
● Drive on-ground adoption (retailer onboarding, engagement, retention)
● Optimize key metrics:
○ GMV
○ Order frequency
○ Retailer activation & retention
○ Brand ROI
● Continuously iterate on product-market fit and monetization models
Ideal Candidate Profile
● 5–10 years of experience in business leadership / general management roles
● Strong exposure to:
○ Marketplaces
○ B2B commerce
○ Retail-tech / fintech ecosystems
● Proven track record of:
○ Owning P&L
○ Scaling platform businesses or networks
